The Dome

Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town, The DOME opened in 1996 and has become established as a First Choice Venue for coffee, cocktails, lunch and dinner.

In 2006 we carried out a detailed survey of the premises to establish the best means of upgrading the existing Heating System.  We subsequently supplied and installed four gas-fired Hamworthy Boilers, complete with a shunt circuit and a new inverter driven Dual Smart Pump Set which provides heating to the various zones as required; the thermostatic valves fitted on each radiator improve energy efficiency by supplying on demand.

Located in Dunfermline, Optos is a leading medical technology company for the design, development and manufacturing of retinal imaging devices.

We were initially commissioned as the Mechanical and Electrical Design and Installation specialists by ESE and provided a very extensive service as detailed below:

• High efficient Class-A plant and equipment were selected and installed throughout the premises.
• Air Conditioning in the form of ceiling-mounted cassette units with inverter driven outdoor units – for 13 booths, open plan office area, boardroom, meeting rooms, clean room and IT room. The system ensures maximum energy efficiency and, additionally, each unit is capable of providing independent comfort control via a remote-control device.
• A comprehensive tempered air Fresh Air Ventilation System.
• A Balanced-Flue Boiler with circulating pump was installed to supply and distribute heating throughout the building.
• Domestic Hot Water Cylinder to serve the sinks and a LTHW Heater Battery for the ventilation system.
• High level gas-fired unit heaters installed in large open warehouse area.
• A customised Controls Panel and Electrical Power Supply was provided to ensure optimum control of all services

TRC-Pool

Edinburgh Leisure are responsible for the operation and maintenance of Leisure and Sports Centre facilities throughout the Edinburgh area.

• Compiling and issuing Method Statements.
• Risk Assessments and Programmes of Work for each building.
• Issuing Gas Safety Certificates and Chlorination Certificates on completion and in accordance with CORGI and L8.
• The control of Legionella requirements.

Dundee University

Our Water Treatment Technicians carried out Risk Assessments in accordance with L8 – “The control of Legionella bacteria in water systems.” in NCH properties throughout Scotland – National Children’s Homes premises range from small offices to large complexes.
